SISF 2008

Friday night right after work, heading all the way down to Downtown east...
For the annual Singapore International Salsa Festival.
This place is really far.

Shows starts off at 9am.


Majority is from local school performance teams.

Then after that, party till 3am with the music of international DJs.

The floor area is at least 6 times bigger than union square.
But super dirty, super slippery.



Me, Jerry, Eugene, May and Eileen accidentally bought 3 days night pass, which cost $110.



Then on Day two morning, I still went to work.
Hyperactive attitude throughout the day and even do Suzie-Q in the office that...
My GM was so surprise with my working attitude...
I am just not enough sleep.

Then heading down to Downtown east again, the train was so full that I can't find a seat to let me fall asleep. Then after arrival, all friends are late and I was sitting bored waiting for them, then....

I FORGOT TO BRING MY NIGHT PASS!!!! OH shit~ $60/night lor!!
So piss off with myself for being so careless!!!
Then then moment, I saw my friends... Tears drop!!
They are trying to source other ways while I just sitting there wiping my tears!!
Such a BIG CRY BABY!!!

Finally, Jerry manage to talk to the organizer and let me in with the deposit of $60 and then return my origin ticket on the next day.
They even come out with some cute ideas to smuggle me in.
Then Number 1 even msg me that he willing to sponsor $10.
I think I am quite good in luck for having friends in my life!!


Today perform by some international dancers and there is also one very amazing dance too.

They are husband and wife. Their teamwork is really amazing. The wife can perform so freely even though her husband just use single hand to lift her up!!

The host try to tease them and they manage to hold him up too!!
Really Cool!

And again party till 2am this time!!




On the last day, finally I get to sleep late till 1pm. The whole body ache and can't move much.
After eating my lunch, I head back to sleep again till 4pm.
Before leaving my house, I double check my bag again,
Wallet, Ticket, dancing shoes, keys, handkerchief and camera!!!
Nothing miss!

Had a great dinner at Superdog with my friends and head to the shows start at 8pm.

Let me do some intro.. Etan(Eileen) and Aslinah!! Quite funny girlfriends.
Good to have them around!

And Number 1 dayo!

This is the last night and I stay till the end, which is about 3 am.

Salsa bring everybody together regardless race or religion!

A 2 plus, management wants us to end the festival and not allow to use the AV system anymore and they end up using drums and continue to sing too!
It make me think of the dirty dancing movie again!
Just like right down the street of Cuba, everybody is like that.



All the good dancers and instructors start to cook up the fun and every one enjoyed!

There is some more to share with you guys but not concern with salsa. Will post in the next blog!!
